Andrew Overtoom is a Director on Nickelodeon’s hit cartoon series Spongebob Squarepants. My Life with Morrissey is his first feature film, which he wrote, directed and photographed.

He began directing years ago in New York City where he wrote, produced and directed music videos. In 1996 he moved to Canada to attend the Vancouver Film School’s Classical Animation immersion program. There he wrote, produced and animated a three minute short film entitled "No Parachute".

After graduating with honors from VFS in 1997, Andrew headed South for Pasadena’s yearly Animation Celebration. It was there that legendary Producer Mike Girard saw Andrew’s reel and hired him onto Nickelodeon's The Angry Beavers series as an Animation Timer. In 1999 Andrew was hired onto the soon-to-be hit cartoon series Spongebob Squarepants as an Animation Director. Spongebob has enjoyed phenomenal success with an enthusiastic audience of all ages.

Production on My Life With Morrissey began in August 2001.

My Life with Morrissey is Andrew's second screenplay. His first script, Marvin Schlomo's Hollywood Neighborhood, is also damn good.
